In 1985, Arthur Cores and Steve Kolow took three simple ingredients—fire, a spit, and chicken—and revolutionized the restaurant industry forever. They opened the very first Boston Market, then called Boston Chicken, in Newton, Massachusetts, with a rotisserie and a dream.

Today, there are more than 450 Boston Market locations nationwide, focused on making delicious home-cooked meals for people who don’t have the time to cook at home. Specializing in juicy Rotisserie Chicken and home style favorites, our classic food is a modern hit.

General Manager
As a Restaurant General Manager, you must be a self-motivated, dedicated and outgoing leader who can manage your team with integrity, honesty and knowledge while promoting the culture and values of Bo ston Market. You must also be highly organized and detail oriented with the ability to value change and to work effectively in a fast paced environment. It is also important that you display excellent communication, interpersonal and conflict resolution skills as well as a dedication to providing exceptional customer service.

Specific duties will include:

Leading, developing, training, and motivating high-performing teams

Identifying and developing team members for future leadership roles

Managing team member performance with clear feedback, recognition, reviews, coaching/teaching, and discipline

Maximizing sales and profits by upholding sales and service techniques in order to ensure a great guest experience

Modeling ways to delight guests in order to deliver an excellent guest experience

Maintaining a sparkling clean restaurant, ensuring that QSC standards are achieved, and serving high quality food

Increasing sales and maximizing profit by ensuring that all P&L items are controlled and that all company objectives are achieved

Maintaining appropriate employee records/documentation to ensure that the company is compliant with local and federal agencies

Assistant General Manager
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Ensure Boston Market restaurant guests and catering customers are served properly and in a timely manager. Investigate and resolve customer complaints regard ing food quality or service when general manager is absent. Uphold sales and service techniques to ensure a great guest experience

Assist in the development and recruitment of restaurant employees

Monitor employee performance and training

Maximize profit by controlling P&L items

Order food, equipment, and supplies while maintaining ofc procedures

Implement general manager plans to meet sales objectives

Maintain appropriate employee records/documentation to ensure company is compliant with
local/federal agencies.

Follow established human resource procedures.

Direct the cleaning of the dining areas and the washing of kitchen utensils, and equipment to
comply with QSC and government sanitation standards.

Monitor the actions of employees and patrons on a continual basis to ensure the personal safety of everyone
